The chapel is placed in the middle of the spirituality center. Here we gather for mass, vespers and private prayer. Our view over looks the lake.
The singing in French is beautiful with full voices of women and men religious.

Today we began with the sharing from our 2 chaplains who work with prisoners.

They spoke about the law, the need to network with other organizations and the challenges of re-integrating the men back into the church communities and society. They described horrific conditions of overcrowding, lack of enough food and the mixing together of persons who are petty thieves with those who are rapists. They did not minimize the horrendous criminal acts of raping with objects and damaging the reproductive system of the women. The men are able to earn a small income through making beautiful cards and some lovely zipper bags.

This afternoon we will hear from the Diocesan JPIC Office.
Thanks for your continued prayers.
