MOURNING THEIR LOSS
The President and Executive Board of UISG join in prayer and solidarity with Sr. Alice Jurugo Drajea, Superior General and the Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus as they mourn the tragic deaths of Sr. Mary Daniel Abut and Sr. Regina Robe on August 16 in South Sudan. No words can adequately express our sadness.
We pray that the deaths of Sisters Mary Daniel and Regina will lead to renewed efforts for reconciliation and peace building in their beloved country. Sr. Mary Daniel Abut served as a UISG delegate for many years. Her wise and gentle presence was greatly appreciated both as a delegate but also in her support for Solidarity with South Sudan.
We join with the staff and students of the Solidarity Catholic Health Training Institute in Wau as they mourn the loss of their tutor Sr. Regina Robe. May their souls rest in the peace of God’s loving embrace.
