Laudato Si’ Week and Sowing Hope for the Planet Campaign

Laudato Si’ Week will be from May 16 to 25. The program will offer dialogue and action to help realize the goals of Laudato Si’ in the care of our common home, mother Earth. The canticle of St. Francis of Assisi, “Praise be to you, O my lord, in all your creatures”, will be a theme in the journey towards an integral ecology. This event is sponsored by the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and supported by the Global Catholic Climate Movement, with the collaboration of over 150 Catholic organizations. Eco-spirituality brings hope to a troubled world. Please join us for an opportunity to share in the fruitfulness of the work of Sowing Hope for the Planet. In this session, we will journey with men and women religious engaged in promoting Laudato Si’. We will celebrate stories of ecological conversion, both personal and communal.

Examples of integrating conscious prayer and sacred action will be shared. Speakers include Sr. Jyotisha Kannamkal, SND, Sr. Leetta Hammock, SSND, Sr. Beatrice Hernandez, OSF, Fr. Edwin Borlasa, MSC, and Christian Leaño of the GCCM. During the event, the Creation Care Prayer Network will be presented and promoted.
