a Syrian Salesian Sister who has been just honored with the International Women of Courage Award 2017
She will speak about her mission in Damascus, Syria with women and young people

Her Biography
As a Salesian sister she has been faithful to the Charism of her Congregation; her presence in Syria is in solidarity with the young and the poor.
In a courageous way she is the voice of the voiceless pleading for justice and peace. She has worked day by day to create a more humane society, one that respects the dignity of each person.
Born on 9/8/1971 in Aleppo, Syria
She is a Salesian Sister of Don Bosco, “Daughters of Mary Help of Christians”
She made her first vows on the 6/8/2003 and her final vows in 2009.
She studied chemical sciences in Syria and theology in Lebanon.
From 2003 – 2006 she served in Hadath Bealbek – Lebanon.
From 2006 and 2007, she served in the Accounting Department at the Italian Hospital in Damascus.
From 2007 till the present moment, she is a community leader in Damascus, Director of the Italian School and last year she returned to working in the Accounting Department at the Italian Hospital.
Recently, she studied special education in Syria.
She is helping the Salesian youth to discover the radical love for Christ for them and she serves them in joyful simplicity.
