I am writing to you on behalf of Sr. Luigia Coccia, Superior General of the Comboni Missionary Sisters, and her Council to inform you and all the Religious Congregations about our two Sisters’ tragic death, which occurred yesterday, 24 June 2017.
Sr. Luisa Manuel, a 47-year-old Mozambican, and Giuseppina Lupo, a 37-year-old Italian, were part of the Community of St. Antonio do Matupi, Diocese of Humaità, where they were returning after visiting some families … On the transamazonic road they had a car accident…
We kindly ask you to be with us in prayer and to present to the Lord the families of the two Sisters, especially the parents, the Sisters in Brazil and Sr. Luisa and Sr. Giuseppina… May the Lord embrace them forever in His infinite Love …”
