Interview with Sister Cecilia Espenilla OP
Sister Cecilia is the member of the Congregation of the Dominican Sisters of St. Catherine of Siena, Philippines. From October 2017 to October 2020 she worked as International Promoter of Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) of the DSIC Dominican Sisters International Confederation with base in Rome, Italy.
Currently, she dedicates a lot of her time to fight human trafficking as a Philippine Coordinator of Arise – the non-governmental organization that supports frontline networks and grassroots efforts to prevent human trafficking and related forms of exploitation through a combination of capacity building, direct activities and strategic grant-giving.
